Stranger Things is “bringin’ cinematic back”

Stranger Things is the award-winning Netflix original series written, directed and co-executive produced by the Duffer Brothers. A science fiction-horror and investigative drama mashup set in the 1980s, it also includes a glorious ode to the pop-culture staples of the era.

The first season of the hit show was heavily influenced by some of the most beloved cinematic masterpieces of the time, all of which were extremely well received by fans. In building off that enthusiasm and the public’s current desire for nostalgia, Netflix launched a campaign to heighten the anticipation and increase the chatter around the release of season two, all by recreating a series of movie posters that pay homage to the iconic thrillers of years past.
